Best Morning Stretches

A lot of people ask me why their muscles are so tight when they've been working out and what to do about it. Tight muscles can derail your results by causing pain or even injury. But the fix is easy. Start your day off every day with these 5 stretches right in bed!, no excuses, and you'll feel tons better. You don't even need a personal trainer for these. You'll also experience a new level of comfort and flexiblity that you may not have before, you'll prevent pain and injury, and it will even help you wake up and be more productive for you day.

Here's what to do:

Step 1: Wake Up!

Step 2: Lying Bilateral Rotation (do 5 to each side, holding for a few seconds)

Step 3: Lying Straight Leg Raise (do 3 to with each leg, holding a few seconds)

Step 4: Seated Side Bend (do 3 to each side, holding a few seconds)

Step 5: Seated Butterfly (hold for 15 seconds, keeping good posture)

Step 6: Cobra (hold for 15 seconds, keeping glutes and abs engaged. Breathe.)

DONE!

And there you have it! 5 minutes, and you're warmed up for the day, having released a lot of tension from those worked muscles. For best results, you can also do this routine before bed. When you do so, hold each stretch only once but for 30 seconds.
