Fitness Challenge Day 89

Today's challenge is to rest!  Tomorrow you are doing the fitness test for the last time, so it's important you are well-rested.

But, taking one or two rest days a week is imperative after the challenge, too.  Whatever you decide to do, make sure you schedule days off.  It may seem like working out every day is better for you... but it's not.  Your body needs to take time off.  Your muscles need time to recover and doing cardio every day is counter productive to your hormones and contributes to over use injuries.

If you are worried about taking a day off, then just adjust for the calories or try active rest. Examples of active rest include taking a leisurely stroll, walking your dogs, or doing some yoga.
